Born a refugee in Tanzania and later transplanted to the heart of Portland, Oregon. I discovered not only solace in art but also an unexpected love for graphic design. Arriving in Portland at the age of 5 was a whirlwind of emotions. The clash between my Tanzanian roots and the fast-paced American culture left me feeling like a puzzle piece that didn't quite fit. The yearning to belong was a constant battle, and the process of adaptation was a journey laden with uncertainties. Within this turmoil,
art emerged as my refuge. Each brushstroke and pencil mark etched my emotions onto the canvas, telling a story of two worlds colliding within me. But it was in high school, I stumbled upon the world of graphic design. As I delved into the intricacies of digital design, I found a new way to convey thoughts and feelings. The pixels on the screen became my allies, allowing me to translate emotions into visual stories with precision and depth. Through this newfound passion, I not only
